Eggs from happy hens are the best eggs! These chickens have ample space to move in their coop and get range time outside daily which means you get a more nutritious egg.
They love their times of freedom and find places to fly, climb, sunbathe, dust bathe, and forage bugs and greens. This reduces the grain feed they consume, and the eggs naturally have more omega 3s and b vitamins. This means the yolk has a healthier type of fat than that of yolks from only grain-fed chickens. Hens that spend ample time in natural sunlight also have higher levels of vitamin D, up to six times higher! Pastured eggs aren’t just a healthy way to get more protein, they are superfood in a little package.
They enjoy the oat grasses and sprouted seeds we grow for them. We are expanding a pasture area for them, but for now, they are enjoying seeds and grasses they find while foraging the natural environment.
